Amla Sabzi: Easy Recipe For Lunch

The market is currently flooded with amla or Indian gooseberry. We all love enjoying this tangy fruit in different recipes, juices, chutneys, murabbas among other interesting ways. This time, we thought of bringing you an easy amla sabzi recipe.

This one tastes great, full of flavour and the goodness of vitamin C. It can be enjoyed with roti or parathas for lunch. 

How To Make Amla Sabzi?

  • In a pan, add some oil. 
  • Add green chillies, cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Saute on a medium flame for a few seconds.
  • Next, add chopped amla or Indian gooseberry and cook. 
  • Keep stirring occasionally.
  • Sprinkle all the spices - chilli powder, fennel seeds, coriander seeds, turmeric powder, asafoetida, salt and mix well. 
  • Add chopped jaggery and water. Mix well. 
  • Cover with a lid and cook on medium flame. 
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy!

  • 1 Cup Chopped Amla Or Indian Gooseberry
  • 1 Tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 2 Slit Green Chillies
  • 1/2 Tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Fennel Seeds
  • 1 Tsp Coriander Seeds
  • 1/4 Tsp Asafoetida
  • Salt To Taste
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Jaggery Or Gur
  • 2 Tsp Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1/4 Cup Water
