Comedian Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa have been happily married for more than two years now and people are eagerly waiting for some good news from their end. The way these love birds treat their fans with their mushy posts is all things heart! From calling each other with cute names to commenting on each other’s social media, they are lessoning the millennials on how to stay in love. Now, in a recent interview with an entertainment portal, comedienne Bharti Singh spilled beans about having a baby and starting a family with husband Haarsh.
Bharti revealed that they had a plan on having a baby in 2020 but due to the Coronavirus outbreak, it has taken a backseat. “Well, I want to become a mother. In fact, Haarsh and I had planned to go family way in 2020. Socha toh tha ki 2020 mai 20-20 khel lu (smiles) however, due to Coronavirus outbreak I don’t wish to take any chance.”
She further went on saying that planning a baby now can be risky. “I can’t plan a baby in such tension. I want my baby to come in a healthy environment. Right now it is risky to even visit a hospital and once you get pregnant you have to visit a doctor for regular check-ups. Might as well wait for another year than putting a small baby’s life at risk.”
The coronavirus pandemic has created a havoc across the country. The deadly virus has affected over 1,58,000 people and killed 4971 people so far. This deadly virus is also affecting kids, so, it is natural for Bharti Singh to be worried. But IVF Specialist, Consultant Obstetrician, and Gynecologist Dr. Archana Dhawan Bajaj has a different opinion about this. According to Dr. Archana Bajaj, "No study has proved that the coronavirus can be spread through vertical transmission. So, women will face no problem in conceiving. In fact, there has been an increase in pregnancy rate in the last two months. Another most important thing is that women who will conceive at this time will deliver after 8-9 months and by then it is expected that we will be able to control the spread of coronavirus."
Bharti Singh On Family Planning
Bharti Singh has often expressed her desire to embrace motherhood. Talking about the same, the comedian told an online portal that she was planning to have a baby in 2019 but that didn’t happen. She said, "I am serious about motherhood. And we have decided by the end of the coming year, we will plan a baby. Also, I want to work till the last day of my pregnancy. Just imagine with a baby bump me doing comedy on stage!"
But is it safe to conceive after the age of 35? According to Dr. Archana Bajaj, "Women who plan to conceive after the age of 35 are more prone to risks like including, premature delivery and stillbirth, gestational diabetes, chromosomal abnormalities, and fetus growth retardation. There are also a high chances of Caesarean delivery which are not good for women's health. Moreover, it also increases the risk of developing bone-related problems like osteoporosis and osteopenia."
Comedian Bharti Singh began her career from comedy reality series The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Season 4. Along with her husband, she has also started an online show called Hum Tum Aur Quarantine.
