Diet plays an important role, but so does the right kind of workout. They in a way go hand-in-hand. If your diet is in control then only can the workout tone it further. Fitness expert, Nidhi Mohan, has suggested some workout regimes for the time being:
It is a great warm up for your legs an glute muscles. Here you have to stand tall holding onto a pole or stationary object for support. Engage your abs as you swing your one leg as far out in front of you and then back behind you as you comfortably can. Switch sides once you have completed repetitions on the first leg.
Whenever we are looking at workouts for losing weight then it is best that we do exercises that increase our heart rates. It is advised to do 10 rounds on each side.
Being a compound boy movement, squats require a lot muscle movement and helps reduce weight faster. In strength training and fitness, the squat is a compound, full body exercise that trains primarily the muscles of the thighs, hips and buttocks, quadriceps femoris muscle (vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, vastus intermedius and rectus femoris), hamstrings, as well as strengthening the bones, ligaments and insertion of the tendons throughout the lower body.
This form of exercise is best for increasing the strength and size of the legs as well as developing core strength.
Another work out for weight loss, this form requires your back, core, abdomen and leg muscles. This is a major exercise which helps in losing weight if followed religiously everyday. Although this exercise uses the hips and legs as the primary movers, it can just as easily be considered a back exercise. with the squat and bench press.
