The idea behind Bohri Kitchen was to give food aficionados a personal experience. Almost 3 years back, Munaf Kapadia came up with an idea of taking the flavours of his community’s cuisine to the masses. His logic was to feed and educate at the same time. Munaf, who belongs to the Dawoodi Bohra Community, took a detour from the very usual business model.
Instead of opening a restaurant, he began by inviting a bunch of foodies to his house and served them recipes created by his mother. Soon the idea was translated into a Facebook page and gradually Bohri Kitchen as a brand took shape. Munaf Kapadia of Bohri Kitchen tells us more.
The gatherings were humble in number. Munaf always wanted to project his personality via the recipes served. From smoked samosas to Rann in Red Masala, visitors have an eclectic variety to choose from. Slowly and steadily, the brand garnered popularity and Munaf took over Bohri Kitchen as The Chief Eating Officer. Even though, Munaf did not have a food background, the warm reception from his clients kept him going.
Running parallel to the online ordering race, Bohri Kitchen now operates as a delivery service too, and from smoked samosas to Rann in Red Masala, you can order anything.
Bohri Kitchen has attracted a number of celebrities such as Hrithik Roshan, Farah Khan, Rakesh Roshan and Aditya Chopra.
