Superfoods are foods — mostly plant-based but also some fish and dairy which are thought to be nutritionally dense and therefore good for health. Quinoa, salmon, kale and acai are some examples that have garnered the "superfood" label.
Besides being carriers of antioxidants, superfoods are thought to ward off cancer, healthy fats, prevent heart disease, fiber, prevent diabetes and digestive problems. They are ancient products of our country which we haven't really discovered as such. Here some ways suggested by Rakhi Vaswani, in which you can incorporate these in your daily diet:
1. Do not use regular flour, switch it with amaranth flour.
2. Berries are the best anti-oxidants which should be infused in your daily diet.
3. Quinoa is easily available now. It is a versatile grain which can replace grains. Originally it came in from Peru but now it is easily available in India. You can put it in your cutlet, chaat, risotto, anything you like.
Try making these a part of your life, there is no harm in trying.
