It feels like the end of an era as British-Irish actor Michael Gambon passes away at the age of 82 in a hospital. He was best known for his role as Albus Dumbledore in the ‘Harry Potter’ series. This heartbreaking news for all Potterheads was broken on Thursday by his family. 

Gambon was honoured with several BAFTAs and an Olivier award during his career path. His performance and commitment to his roles will always keep him alive in the hearts of his fans and co-stars. Daniel Radcliffe, his co-star in ‘Harry Potter’ mentioned in a statement to Variety, "With the loss of Michael Gambon the world just became considerably less fun."
