We have all complained of bloating at one time or another in our lives. The feeling of trapped gas or increased pressure in the stomach is quite uncomfortable. It is accompanied with one having a more noticeable stomach.
Bloating is a common digestive issue. It is usually short term and gets resolved on its own at times but it can get quite painful at times. There can be multiple causes behind bloating. Some common causes of bloating are -

To resolve this common issue, a lot of health experts, nutritionists have shared easy remedies on their social media handles. Recently, Nutritionist Pooja Makhija took to her Instagram handle and shared some foods one must avoid to prevent bloating.
The expert on her post shared that bloating is a common short term problem but those who suffer from it chronically should try to avoid some foods which have non-digestable compounds including soluble and insoluble fiber, sugar alcohol and sugars like Radiobar and fructose.
Foods Which May Cause Bloating
On her Instagram post, nutritionist Pooja Makhija shared, a list of specific foods which can cause bloating.
Vegetables: broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and cabbage
Fruit: prunes, apples, pears, and peaches
Whole grains: wheat, oats, wheat germ, and wheat bran
Legumes: beans, lentils, peas, and baked beans
Sugar alcohols and artificial sweeteners: xylitol, sorbitol, and mannitol found in artificial sweeteners and sugar-free chewing gum
Drinks: soda and other carbonated beverages
The expert also shared one should check for lactose intolerance as it can be a contributor to bloating.

Nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar shared that gulkand water is an easy way to get rid of constipation and acidity. In a glass of water, add 1 tbsp of gulkand and mix well. Those who don't like gulkand can have rose petals. They help reduce constipation and remove bloating.
Have Lunch With Half Banana
Rujuta Diwekar shared that this is one home remedy which a lot of grandparents used to do. She shared that the remedy is effective for kids also. After having lunch, one should have a small banana. Banana should be chewed properly, it helps in treat acidity, bloating and constipation.
A lot of people begin to feel bloating in the evening. For the same, the nutritionist advised to do suptabadhakonasana. Join feet together and sit on your knees. Make sure your back has good support. This can be done for 2-5 minutes and it gets instant relief from bloating.
Drink Tender Coconut Water
Rujuta Diwekar shared that drinking tender coconut water or naariyal paani can help fix the electrolyte balance in the stomach and also reduces bloating. Drink it as the first things in the morning.
Consume Rice Pej Or Kanji With Ghee
Rujuta Diwekar also shared that having rice pej or kanji with some ghee at night can be helpful. It makes your stomach feel a lot more lighter.
In a pan, add water and rice. Cook and pour rice in a cup. Top with ghee and enjoy.
